Water Treatment & Aquaculture: Acts as an exceptionally fast and effective dechlorinating agent. It is widely used in aquaculture, aquariums, and municipal water facilities to instantly neutralize toxic chlorine and chloramines from tap water, ensuring a safe environment for aquatic life.
Mining & Metallurgy: Serves as an eco-friendly and non-toxic lixiviant (leaching agent) for gold and silver extraction, providing a safer alternative to hazardous cyanide in the mining industry.
Textile & Paper Industry: Functions as an antichlor to safely remove residual chlorine from fibers and paper pulp after the bleaching process, preventing fabric degradation and preserving material strength.
Photography & X-ray: Traditionally used as a photographic fixing agent to dissolve unexposed silver halides from film and photographic paper.
Precautions: This product is generally recognized as safe and non-toxic. However, in the presence of strong acids, it decomposes to release toxic sulfur dioxide (SO₂) gas. Avoid breathing dust and ensure adequate ventilation. Wear standard protective gloves and safety glasses.
Standard Packaging: 25kg PP woven bags with PE inner liner, or 1000kg Jumbo bags.
Storage Recommendations: Prone to efflorescence in dry air and deliquescence in moist air. Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep strictly away from strong acids and powerful oxidizers. Ensure bags are tightly sealed to preserve crystal integrity.
Shelf Life: 12 months (under proper dry and sealed storage conditions).
